Because the styles of each genre are so different, it is easy to compare the two to each other.Perhaps the most common elements between these two genres are that they are both closely associated with a particular mood or feeling. The music can range from light, happy, sad or disturbing, all depending on the artist and the situation. Also, these movies are not afraid to use any type of sound or noise, including jarring noises. If you look at the soundtrack of both the movies and the songs, the similarities are apparent.Another similarity between these two genres is that both have strong overtones of mystery and suspense. Both can be classified as suspense films, although the overtones of excitement might be different. Unlike music, there is not much of a focal point, although suspense and excitement are the main elements that attract the attention of viewers. Both genres also share similar characteristics, including the use of sound and images.
